Defending Champions JBCFA is out of the race for this year 8th Dixy Cup after the 1-3 defeat by Batu Bahat last Sunday, 25 July 2010. This is the first time, the host; JBCFA could not make it to the semi-finals ever since Dixy Cup started in 2003. Poor teamwork and no desire of winning resulting from lack of preparation and proper training caused the downfall of the Champions. Kulai Chinese and Batu Pahat Chinese both qualified from Group A to the semi-finals.
Singapore being last year finalists, is another disappointment in this year Dixy Cup which suffered a shock defeat by Kluang Chinese with a big margin of goals, 5-0 last Sunday. Singapore too; joining JBCFA, is out of the race despite with a game in hand. Semi-final qualifier from Group B is MCA Tebrau. Kluang Chinese and Labis Chinese will meet in this coming Sunday; 1 August 2010 to decide which team will be joing MCA Tebrau to play in the semi-finals. Judging from the past performances, put your bet on Kluang Chinese is the wise choice.
